If you like the following, this trip might be for you:
Great Price/Quality👌🏻
Nowhere else in the world offers such a perfect balance of world-class diving, real comfort, and fair pricing as in Komodo and the Sumbawa region. The quality of diving, guiding, and food here would be multiple in most other regions. It's one of those harder to find places where value consistently matches experience, which is why we keep going back. 🌏
Famous Divesites 💫
The Komodo-Sumbawa region in Indonesia is home to one of world's most famous and renowned divests. From the whale sharks of "Saleh Bay", to the coral covered seamount of "Batu Bolong" and the iconic pinnacles on "Crystal and Castle rock", the area is bursting with life and diving splendour for every type of diver. 💥
Wild Frontiers
This unique expedition sails between Komodo National Park and Sumbawa Island, combining world-class dive sites with remote exploration and one truly unforgettable highlight: snorkeling or diving with whale sharks in Saleh Bay. With fewer boats and more wild nature, this itinerary is ideal for those seeking off-the-map marine adventures.
Manta Rays
One of the unquestionable highlights for divers in Komodo are without doubt the humongous manta rays. The two species are the Reef manta rays and the Giant manta rays. They fly by at cleaning stations, circling as a gigantic carpet above and around divers! So sick ☁️
Intimate Comfort
With just eight guests onboard, every trip on the Duyung Baru feels exclusive—complete with world-class diving, gourmet meals, and stunning ocean views. Sleek, comfortable, and full of character, it’s the perfect blend of adventure and comfort on the high seas. 🛥️
Stunning scenery
The landscape over the Lesser Sunda Islands is simply stunning. Every sunset is different, the ever changing environments are a daily spectacle after a day of wonderful diving. And of course, we will have the opportunity to get eye to eye with the world-famous Komodo Dragons! 🌅
Our Reipce
The BTM Travel recipe is always the same: a high-quality experience with the region’s best operators, top diving, and a positive energy group.
Value for Money
"We have a great relationship with Ecopro Divers because of their great price-quality value. Their relatively new boat the Duyung Baru, is making waves for its superb crew and all round comfort. Enough reason for us to charter the thing and send people to Indonesia's finest region." - Marcel Wilpernig
Peter Approves
"Komodo is one of my favourite spots in Asia: it's versatile, it's colourful and there are tons of spots where you can find very to no other boats around. I have travelled with EcoPro Divers a lot, and always find their boats comfy and well suited for an affordable yet top diving experience. Curious to see what stories this one will bring!"

Diving in Komodo National Park is often described as one of the most thrilling underwater experiences on the planet. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to an incredible diversity of marine life, from swirling schools of fish and vibrant coral gardens to powerful currents that attract large pelagics. Sites like Batu Bolong, Castle Rock, and Crystal Rock are famous for their breathtaking visibility and the constant presence of reef sharks, manta rays, and trevallies. Each dive reveals a different side of Komodo’s ecosystem, shaped by the nutrient-rich waters flowing through the Indonesian Throughflow.
Just beyond Komodo, Sumbawa Island offers a more off-the-radar experience that feels like diving in Indonesia decades ago. With fewer boats and divers, Sumbawa’s reefs remain pristine and teeming with life. You’ll find colorful soft corals, pygmy seahorses, and the occasional turtle gliding through untouched coral slopes. The island’s remoteness gives dives here an exploratory feel — as if every descent could reveal a new, undiscovered site.
One of Sumbawa’s most spectacular highlights is Saleh Bay, home to the majestic whale sharks that gather year-round. Divers and snorkelers can often encounter these gentle giants up close, gliding peacefully through the water in search of plankton. Unlike other whale shark destinations, Saleh Bay remains quiet and uncrowded, offering an intimate and unforgettable experience with the world’s largest fish.
Together, Komodo and Sumbawa create a rare combination of world-class diving and wild exploration. From high-adrenaline drift dives and manta cleaning stations to tranquil coral gardens and encounters with whale sharks, this region showcases the full spectrum of Indonesia’s underwater beauty. For divers seeking both excitement and authenticity, it’s a journey that delivers adventure, serenity, and discovery in equal measure.
