+++Komodo on the Duyung Baru+++

7 nights in Indonesia's finest 🪸

If you like the following, this trip might be for you:

Great Price/Quality👌🏻

Nowhere else in the world offers such a perfect balance of world-class diving, real comfort, and fair pricing as in Komodo. The quality of diving, guiding, and food here would be multiple in most other regions. Komodo is one of those harder to find places where value consistently matches experience, which is why we keep going back. 🌏

Famous Divesites 💫

The Komodo region in Indonesia is home to one of world's most famous and renowned divests. From the pace drifting in "the Cauldron", to the coral covered seamount of "Batu Bolong" and the iconic pinnacles on "Crystal and Castle rock", Komodo is a place is bursting with life and diving splendour for every type of diver. 💥

"Best of" - Itinerary

This seasonal itinerary covers the best of Central and Northern Komodo, when dry season conditions bring clear skies, calm seas, and excellent visibility. Expect vibrant reefs, thrilling drift dives, and a high chance of seeing manta rays, reef sharks, and schooling pelagics all across our trip. 🌊

Manta Rays

One of the unquestionable highlights for divers in Komodo are without doubt the humongous manta rays. The two species are the Reef manta rays and the Giant manta rays. They fly by at cleaning stations, circling as a gigantic carpet above and around divers! ☁️

Luxury travel

With just eight guests onboard, every trip on the Duyung Baru feels exclusive—complete with world-class diving, gourmet meals, and stunning ocean views. Sleek, comfortable, and full of character, it’s the perfect blend of adventure and comfort on the high seas. 🛥️

Stunning scenery

The landscape over Komodo is simply stunning. Every sunset is different, the ever changing environments are a daily spectacle after a day of wonderful diving. And of course, we will have the opportunity to get eye to eye with the world-famous Komodo Dragons! 🌅

Our Reipce

The BTM Travel recipe is always the same: a high-quality experience with the region’s best operators, top diving, and a positive energy group.

Value for Money

"We have a great relationship with Ecopro Divers because of their great price-quality value. Their relatively new boat the Duyung Baru, is making waves for its superb crew and all round comfort. Enough reason for us to charter the thing and send people to Indonesia's finest region." - Marcel Wilpernig

Simona's Favourite

"With our hundreds of bookings, at BTM Travel we can keep a steady finger on the pulse of how diving locations are changing, improving or staying top notch. Komodo is one of those where clients come back from, and just always have a story to tell. Enough reason for me to go there again, and take 7 of our wonderful clients with me."

Komodo diving is something you really have to experience to understand. The currents here aren’t just a challenge—they shape the whole dive, pushing you along vibrant walls teeming with life. One minute you’re drifting past schools of jacks and trevallies, the next a reef shark glides silently overhead. The variety of terrain is incredible: steep drop-offs, caves, soft coral gardens, and even little volcanic vents bubbling up warm water.

Manta Alley is unforgettable. There’s a rhythm to it—swim in, stay in the current, and just wait. Soon enough, mantas appear, sometimes in pairs or even dozens, twisting gracefully through the water. It’s not staged or predictable; it feels alive, like you’re part of the ecosystem rather than just visiting it. Even during busy weeks, the encounters feel personal because the park is vast and the currents spread everyone out.

Then there’s the smaller stuff that surprises you. On a dive like Cannibal Rock or Yellow Wall, it’s easy to get lost in macro life—pygmy seahorses clinging to soft coral, tiny nudibranchs in every color imaginable, and frogfish that blend so perfectly you almost miss them. You start off looking for big animals and end up marveling at the tiny details, which is part of what makes Komodo so addictive.

Every dive has a sense of unpredictability. Hot Rocks, with its geothermal vents, feels like another world, bubbles rising from the seabed while fish swirl around them. The combination of strong currents, diverse topography, and abundant life means every day is different, every dive tells a story. After a week, it’s clear why Komodo isn’t just a bucket-list destination—it’s a place that makes you rethink what diving can be.
