The caribbean reef sharks at the dive spot called ‘Thick Finger Reef’ off the southern end of Eleuthera are very reliable. Whenever you come down for a visit they greet you with curiosity. Most of the time 5 individuals show up to hang out with you. The water is around 15 meters deep and of such clarity that you can see far around you. That creates this incredible space where you can put everything into perspective in an unusual way. The surface for example is also part of your picture like the shark approaching you from the left. We shot this clip during a production for GoPro. We had five cameras running at the same time. Two were mounted on tripods. This clip is one of them.
We couldn’t get enough of playing around with the shark gang. After two weeks diving with them we all got used to each other. The little one with the black eyes is always a bit more active then the others.
Note: This clip is a preview for our stories to come from Eleuthera. Diving with the sharks was one of our main activities, so please be sure to see the whole adventure in full length and color soon.
