Galápagos #1: Introduction
To come to the Galápagos has always been a dream since we were kids. Even when we didn’t understand back then what it really is all about. Looking back I have to say that my biology class teacher was right as she said: ‘Kids, if you ever have the chance to go to the Galápagos, take it!’. We all heard about Darwin, but just as we grew older and got into diving Galápagos was on top of our list. The different endemic species of animals and plants makes this place special. No matter where you go, you will always find a completely different eco-system with different animals and plants. If you wander around the Islands you will see green vegetation in one place and another place is completely deserted. There are caves under the islands that were created by magma, which collapsed over time and created enormous craters. It has a feeling of ‘The Lord of the Ring’ and ‘Jurassic Park’. It’s just wonderful.
Note: This is the first episode of a whole series of videos about our trip to the Galápagos. 5 more videos about different divespots will come up.
